INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

ICDLA offers two undergraduate internship positions during Spring, Summer and Fall of each year. Interns play a critical role at ICDLA - both in helping develop high quality exchange programs and in increasing the organization's visibility in the Los Angeles area. Whether it's assisting with program implementation or branding and communications, you will have a chance to participate in and promote citizen diplomacy in L.A. and around the world while gaining valuable new skills. ​

International Programming Internship:
The International Programming Intern will work closely with the ICDLA Director of International Programs on proposal writing and project implementation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conducting topical research for project proposals
-
Assisting with arranging professional meetings for international delegates

Representing ICDLA at meetings and events
-
Assisting with administrative tasks to support programming
Qualifications:
-
Well-organized, dependable, and able to multi-task
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-
Should possess some knowledge of the Los Angeles area and be able to work with many types of stakeholders and cultures
Commitment:
-
Due to the complexity and timely nature of tasks to be assigned, a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week is required

College credit or a small stipend will be disbursed upon satisfactory completion of the internship

Communications & Events Internship:
The Communications & Events Intern will work closely with the Communications & Events Coordinator to develop marketing materials, conduct social media outreach, and monitor the website.

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitoring all social media platforms and website

Assisting with event planning and preparation
-
Assisting with all e-communications, including the newsletter and event invitations

Assisting with membership outreach
Qualifications:
-
Well-organized, dependable, and able to multi-task
-
Excellent writing and editing skills are essential to assist in preparing clear, concise correspondence, including newsletters and other communications

Should possess knowledge of using social media for marketing purposes
-
Should possess some knowledge of the Los Angeles area and be able to work with many types of stakeholders and cultures
Commitment:
-
Due to the nature of content production for social media, a minimum commitment of 8 hours per week is required
-
Attendance at some of our events is mandatory
-
College credit or a small stipend will be disbursed upon satisfactory completion of the internship
