ICDLA’s Culinary Diplomacy initiative brings people together through the universal language of food. International visitors, members, and friends share their favorite national dishes while introducing us to the traditions, personal stories, and cultural influences behind them.

Our international visitors love sharing the foods that remind them of home, from well-known favorites to dishes many Angelenos may have never heard of before. Through our Culinary Diplomacy video series, we invite our community to discover these flavors and learn more about the countries and cultures they represent.

We also love exploring Los Angeles’s diverse culinary landscape and finding local restaurants where our community can experience these dishes for themselves. By connecting international stories with delicious spots across Greater Los Angeles, Culinary Diplomacy creates new opportunities for cultural discovery, conversations, and connections.
